2024-2025 List
SG Jasiah Jervis - Archbishop Stepinac: The junior guard is the next man up for the two time defending champions. He certainly has a couple of All City selections ahead of him, and has shown that he typically thrives in big moments since his freshman year. His performance in the 2024 City Championship Game was a telling one in which he displayed uncanny efficiency from all over the floor. The Crusaders quest for a 3peat rests partially on his continued ascension, which has put him in the Top 50 of the 2026 Class nationally with more room to run.
G/F Dillon Callahan- Iona Prep - The southpaw is entering his sophomore year coming off a successful freshman campaign where he started most games and showed a tremendous amount of potential when his number was called. He has a gritty athleticism that may catch opponents off guard. Callahan knows how to create offense for himself and his teammmates, making use of his fine basketball IQ. He is a solid all around performer and his continued maturation will be connected to how far the Gaels can take it this season.
SG Ray Fernandez- Iona Prep: is entering his sophomore year with an abundance of momentum after some impressive games late in his freshman season. Fernandez had a great summer displaying playmaking ability as well as improved athleticism. He has great positional size and may be the best 3pt Shooter in the City. His innate accuracy will have him amongst the top scorers in the league in what should be a breakout season.
SG Hassan Koureissi - Archbishop Stepinac: the junior guard is a hybrid who has a case to be the most talented all around player in the CHSAA. He fills so many needs for the Crusaders , as he has been the most valuable player on the floor for the team several nights in his freshman and sophomore campaigns. Koureissi now in the Top 100 in his class, presents problems on both sides of the ball. His intangibles and feel for the game will continue to be a massive advantage for the Crusaders in their quest for a 3rd championship in a row.
PG Joseph Jennings- Nazareth: the senior playmaker will be a big reason the Kingsmen are in championship contention again. He plays with a tenacity that is infectious and has the intangibles that usually results in victories. His basketball IQ makes him an extremely formidable PG in the league and his leadership will be a key element in the team’s continued success. He has shown more promise as a scorer, attacking and knocking down shots which opens things up for his inherent passing ability.
PF Justin Delgado- Nazareth - the junior forward is the next man up for the Kingsmen and he had a great summer that seemed to boost his confidence. He is a legit double-double threat in the CHSAA and can also get after it on defense. He has all the qualities to be the enforcer for this squad along side dynamic player of the year candidate G/F Halon Rawlins. Delgado’s upside is something to keep an eye on as Nazareth looks to get back to the championship game and beyond.
SF Ethan Butler- St. Francis Prep: the junior forward is a throwback type of player who can get a basket from anywhere on the court. His ability to play inside and out makes a lethal combination with Player of the year candidates F Oeseomana Sacko and PG Vere Anthony. Butler had an outstanding CHSAA June camp and seems to improve with every rep. He is an all city caliber talent without question. His continued growth will keep the Terriers squarely in the City championship mix.
SG Avery Tait Christinia - Holy Cross: the senior takes the helm as the leader of a young and talented Holy Cross roster. He has the ability to get ten points in a quarter at times, and tends to raise his level down the stretch in close games. He is a willing defender who can set a tone on both sides of the ball for the Knights, who have a promising 2028 Class that the senior will be leading. His efforts could place him on an all city team, especially if the program improves its win total from last season.
SG Jayden Ramirez- Christ The King: the senior guard has the experience of playing against and practicing with the best talent in the city over the last couple of seasons. He is one of the torch bearers for the CTK program to uphold the Royals standard of excellence. He is a fierce competitor who performed well against 2x defending champion Stepinac in a close quarterfinal battle. His leadership and effort this season could be Jimmy Butler -like for a young CTK program with great talent.
CG Drew Diaz - Mount St. Michael: the junior guard had a very impressive June Team Camp, coming off an excellent JV campaign for the Mountaineers basketball program. Diaz is very patient and unselfish, which is a perfect formula for a team expected to be one of the youngest in the league. He’s good at creating offense for himself and others but can play off ball to allow the young talent to grow as he continues to do so as an upperclassmen on the team. He has a great basketball IQ and will be a key element in the expected revival of Mount St Michael Basketball the next two seasons.
PF Luis Carillo Moss- St. Raymond: the stretch forward is becoming more and more fluid on the offense side and is coming into his own as one of the primary players to support the Ravens legendary backcourt of Brandon Stores and Tai Turnage. Carillo-Moss is a great example of working hard and waiting your turn, as the Ravens had key contributors depart from last season’s roster. He and new Raven F Ibrahim Camara will be a very formidable tandem on the frontline with their size, skill, and willingness to play through the system. Expect a major leap forward from Carrillo-Moss this season as St Raymond's looks to reach the championship this season.
SG Jordan King- Xaverian : the senior swingman could have one of the biggest leaps this year in the CHSAA. He has the positional size and skill to join fellow frontcourt mate Brandon Margolin on the All City list. Now that he is soundly in a primary role we expect his confidence to be at an all time high, and he could be more difficult to guard with every rep that he gets, especially for smaller and less experienced opposition being a 6’6 guard.
Adonis and Darius Ratliff- Archbishop Stepinac : the latest set of brothers to win a City Title at Stepinac (Allan and Adrian Griffin Jr 2018) and give the Crusaders a couple chances to do it again. They both will see the most action they have since being on varsity, and the more they grow the tougher the challenge becomes to unseat the Back to Back Champions. Both have and extreme amount of upside that could help make the 2026 Class at Stepinac the greatest of the 21th Century in the City.
G/F Malik Fields-Cardinal Hayes: the junior finds himself as the primary option for the Cardinals this season. He was the leading freshman scorer in the PSAL before arriving at Hayes and has a tremendously high ceiling. Fields is also one of the better defenders in the league and the Cardinals could surprise some people after losing key players in the transfer portal. Now in the Top 100 in the 2026 Class, Fields will only continue to improve as he settles into his role as the go to guy.
PG Johansel Cruz-Monsignor Scanlan: the speedy 2026 PG has played through the Crusaders program and has arrived at the Varsity Level. He commanded an abundance of games on both ends at the JV level, and lead them to the title game. He is one of the better passers in the CHSAA and is a streaky scorer, plays with a lot of heart and has big moments. No bigger moment than now and we expect him to seize the opportunity this season after a couple transfers hit the program this past summer.
SG Myles Miller- Archbishop Molloy - on a team that lost a huge amount of scoring and players within the program the last two seasons, Miller emerges as a talent with a tremenous amount of opportunity to show what he can do as a primary option. He performed very well at the CHSAA June Camp, and looked like he had the potential to do alot more. The Stanners are in a rebuild type of situation and Miller is the type of player that could show the promise of being a highly productive talent in a storied program.
PG Judah Bontemps- Christ The King: the sophomore guard comes into the season after a phenomenal JV campaign and solid CHSAA Team Camp. The reps he had as the primary handler last season will help him transition smoothly at the varsity level. The belief is that Bontemps is going to be one of the best point guards in the city, and is a part of one of the best upcoming backcourts with 2027 G Johnny Magna. In a year where some expect the Royals to be in a rebuild, it’s a perfect situation for the 2nd year man to start making a case, but he has plenty of time to grow into the player we think he will be.
SF Talib Martin- St. Peter’s: where the Eagles will be in February and the years to come rests largely on the growth of the sophomore forward. Martin is an outstanding athlete who’s shown premier shot blocking abilities and an improving offensive game that makes him a rising ticket in the town. He has a senior backcourt to play off of and how they gel as the season progresses will determine how much of a threat the Staten Island champs will be in the playoffs.
PG Shane Lopez- Mt. St. Michael: When your program proudly proclaims you as the starter before you earn a high school credit, there’s something to be said about that. The Freshman plays with the poise of an upperclassmen and has outstanding feel for the game. There’s no where to go but up for him and the Mountaineer program. He is playing off seniors who believe in him and want to help him succeed. The pressure will be on everyone who’s been above them to try and slow down their imminent ascension over the next 3-4 years, as Lopez and the rest of the young roster continue to grow.
PG JT Lindi -Iona Prep: the junior is a quintessential pass first PG with incredible vision. With the talent that the Gaels have in the fold he could be near the top of the league in assists, and will surely be there when he takes the helm completely his senior year. Lindi is also a strong hard nosed defender who doesn’t back away from tough assignments. His basketball IQ and understanding of the team makeup will benefit the program tremendously as they look to be extremely competitive this year..
PG MJ Ford -St. Peter's: the senior comes into the season playing with a lot of confidence and shows he can score in bunches. He had a solid summer in which he flourished as the primary handler for the Eagles. Ford doesn’t lack effort and is a formidable defender. He and sharpshooter Jack Clancy had an outstanding CHSAA June Camp and could possibly be the most underrated back court in the league.
PG Jayden Hall -Xaverian: the senior guard comes into the season with a wealth of experience and solid ability on both ends of the floor. How he helps to infuse the Clippers youth with the senior leaders will be a key determinant on which direction their season goes. The team is well coached and as the extension much will be expected of Hall, who looks to make his last season his best.
G/F Amare Snipes- Cardinal Hayes: the junior is a very unselfish player with a high motor whose effort puts him in position to be productive. He had a solid CHSAA June Camp and was a spark plug on both ends for the Cardinals. He’s an underrated playmaker and with the transfer of several key players will have a great opportunity to show his all around skill set this season. He could serve as a great connector between the grit and grace the Cardinals have on the roster. The toughness and leadership supplied by Snipes, F Nazier Campbell, and F David Gaymon will do wonders for the program as the Cardinals have a spectacular Class of 2028 players with tons of potential.
G/F Kemar Martin- Monsignor Scanlan: the junior guard had an outstanding summer and may be rewarded with a lot more reps this season for the Crusaders. He plays with a fearlessness that makes him appear bigger than he is and provides offensive punch. He has solid playmakers around him that will enable his great slashing ability. Martin could be a great surprise in the league for those not familiar with his game.
SG Suleyman Kone- Cardinal Hayes: the freshman had a spectacular summer and didn’t seem to have an issue adjusting to playing against varsity players. He won MVP in the Smart Ball Middle School Classic and showed a lot of promise at the Ballin at the Bay tournament in Kips Bay. He has all the makings of a primary player and the confidence that you see in the ones who turn out to be great. He enters Hayes with an incredible class of 2028 who will all have their time on the stage, but for now they each have nothing but room to grow and expand on their promising talents.
